Wetrixo
Web design

English-speaking web agency Bratislava: A web agency in Slovakia you can brief in English.

Wetrixo is a web agency in Bratislava that holds its calls in English, so a foreign company in Slovakia can brief us and talk the project through without a translator. We also build websites in Slovak and English, such as Rentigo.

  • Calls in English, in Bratislava or on Google Meet
  • Websites in Slovak and English
  • Written quote before any work starts

You can leave the phrasebook in the drawer.

02What you get

What a project with us looks like.

  • A briefing in English

You explain the business and its customers yourself, in person in Bratislava or on Google Meet.

  • A quote you can forward

Scope, price and deadline are set out in writing, so you can pass them to head office or whoever signs off.

  • Both languages planned together

The quote sets out both language versions from the start, so neither feels bolted on later.

  • Help with the copy

We help you explain what you do, for whom and how to get in touch, and the quote says who prepares which language.

  • An admin your staff can use

Your team changes text and photos without a developer, and we walk them through it at handover.

  • Domain in the company's name

We register the domain and hosting in your name, so they stay with the company when people move on.

03Comparison

Talk to your supplier in English, or through a colleague?

BriefingYou explain the business yourself, and nothing gets lost on the way.Details pass through one person who also has a day job.
Comments on the designYou say what you think directly, on a call.Feedback travels through your colleague, in both directions.
Scope and priceYou go through the quote on a call before you sign off.You rely on someone's summary of what was agreed.
Choice of supplierA shorter list, because not every local agency works in English. The whole Slovak market is open to you.
Works best whenThe people making decisions do not speak Slovak.A Slovak-speaking colleague owns the project and has time for it.

Language alone should not decide who builds your website. Look at the work first, and if a Slovak-speaking colleague has the time, the second route can work just as well.

04Slovak and English

What a bilingual website really takes.

A bilingual website is more than a translation button. Slovak customers and English-speaking partners often look for different things, so it helps to decide early which pages both audiences need, what each version has to say and who writes it. A second language also adds scope, because pages, titles and forms all exist twice. That is why the number of language versions is one of the things that moves the price.

Rentigo, a replacement car service for people after an accident, is our public example. The whole website runs in Slovak and English. The main message and buttons are visible without scrolling, and the dispatch number is on every screen, one tap away on a phone. Someone standing next to a damaged car has no patience for long reading in any language.

05Typical situations

Where this usually comes up.

  • A foreign company new to Slovakia

You need a credible website for Slovak customers and partners, and nobody on the team writes Slovak yet.

  • A Slovak branch of an international group

Head office wants to discuss and approve the project in English, while the local team talks to customers in Slovak.

  • A foreign founder selling locally

You run the business in English, but your customers in Slovakia expect to read about it in their own language.

  • A Slovak company with foreign clients

Your buyers abroad need a proper English version, not a single page squeezed in at the end of the menu.

06When it fits

You may not need an English-speaking agency.

It helps when

  • The people making decisions do not speak Slovak.
  • Customers read Slovak, but head office or the owners read English.
  • You want one website for a foreign company in Slovakia, in both languages.
  • You would rather speak to the supplier yourself than go through an interpreter.

You can skip it when

  • A colleague speaks Slovak, knows the business and has time to run the project.
  • Your customers read only one language. One well-kept version beats two neglected ones.
  • You need advice on Slovak law or tax. We do not give it, so ask a local lawyer or accountant.
  • Your team needs calls in German or Czech. We hold calls in Slovak or English only.

08FAQ

Questions before you start.

Which parts of the project are in English?

Calls are in English or Slovak, as you prefer, in person in Bratislava or on Google Meet. If you also need emails or the written quote in English, say so when you first write, and we will confirm it before any work starts.

Who writes the Slovak text?

That is agreed in the quote. You can supply the text in either language, or we prepare it with you, and that choice affects the price. For legal wording such as terms of business, use your own adviser.

Can you tell us what Slovak law requires on our website?

No. We build the website, but we do not give legal or tax advice. A local lawyer or accountant can tell you what your site has to state, and we will put it on the site once you have their answer.

Our head office is abroad. Do we ever have to come to Bratislava?

No. We are glad to meet in person in Bratislava, but the whole project can run online on Google Meet.

How long does a website in two languages take?

The design takes 3 to 7 days, and development 1 to 3 weeks depending on scope, which a second language adds to. The clock starts once the deposit is paid and we have your materials, including the text for both versions. The quote gives the exact date.

Can you add English to our existing Slovak website?

Often, though it depends on how the site is built. We check whether a second language can be added cleanly or whether a rebuild makes more sense, and the quote reflects what we find.
